Brick
A manufactured unit — clay shaped and fired into uniform, interchangeable form. Where stone is found, brick is made. In the symbol-system, brick represents fabricated reality substituted for natural reality. The builders of Babel used brick instead of stone. Synonyms: bricks, masonry.
